Let’s face it. Bullying is a problem. Creating safe and productive educational environments is a primary proponent of building productive communities. In 2023 the US Department of Education estimates about 22% of students ages 12-18 encounter bullying that often leads to depression, anxiety, changes in sleep and eating patterns, loss of interest in activities they used to enjoy, decreased academic achievement, and school participation. They say students that encounter frequent bullying are likely to miss, skip, or drop out of school altogether. Catching these instances of abuse and creating a system of accountability is paramount to creating great learning environments. Using AI we can routinely identify events like these and prevent further escalation.
